How chiropractic care helps you:
Chiropractors take a different approach to your treatment and diagnosis than medical doctors. Chiropractic care offers you a natural way to heal and that can correct, restore, recover, and prevent your potential health problems without the use of drugs.
Why should I go to a chiropractor?
Have tight muscles that feel like knots to the touch? Can you move your head to the right but not all the way to the left? If you experience chronic or acute back and neck pain, then chiropractic treatment is right for you.
|
What is chiropractic treatment?
Chiropractic treatment is an alternative therapy that fixes musculoskeletal and nervous conditions, primarily through spinal manipulation, also called an adjustment. Spinal manipulation will fix a subluxation, which is a vertebrae misalignment that results in a pinched nerve. |
During an adjustment, Dr. Andrion will applies pressure with his hands to hypomobile joints — joints that cannot move in a normal range because there is significant tissue damage. You might feel sore after treatment, which usually subsides quickly.
Your joints recover mobility after a spinal adjustment. While your tissues heal, stand and sit with proper posture to prevent future pain. If you have a sedentary job or lift heavy objects daily, back pain is inevitable but can be prevented with self-care.

Recover from whiplash
Been in an auto accident? You probably experienced whiplash and need chiropractic attention. If you have whiplash, you are probably experiencing neck stiffness. Other symptoms are headaches, dizziness, nausea, blurred vision, and pain when you move your head. Through several chiropractic treatments, spinal manipulation helps to heal your whiplash injuries. |
Whiplash is a misnomer: it’s a common term to describe all sorts of neck injuries. The most common result of whiplash is strains or sprains to the ligaments in the neck that support vertebrae. You can also fracture vertebrae, tear discs, and injure the joints.
On your own time, remember to stretch often, keep active, and use heat and ice applications when pain flares.

Your back pain culprits revealed
We will find the source of your back pain and treat it. Although back pain comes from a menu of related health conditions, there are three common factors that we look at: |
Badheadaches
Pesky headaches are a damper to the day. It limits your concentration and makes you sensitive to light. Your back or neck pain might be the result of two categories of headaches: Primary headaches are non-disease related and classified as tension, migraine and cluster headaches. Tension headaches are common and stem from stress or muscle contractions. Migraines are caused by constriction of blood vessels in the head or neck. Tension headaches begin in the neck and move to the head. Cluster headaches come without any warning, take about 5 minutes to form, and come sporadically throughout the day. Secondary headaches can be disease related or signify a major problem in the spinal structure.
Poor posture
Let’s face it — there is no way to sit comfortably during an eight-hour-a-day desk job. Sitting for long periods can tighten your neck and shoulder muscles, causing a tension headache and other back pains.
Poor posture isn’t restricted to sitting, either. If you are stressed, obese, pregnant, or regularly wear high-heels, you might habitually stand slumped over or sleep in awkward positions. Good posture prevents ligament and muscle strain and requires a conscious effort, a comfortable chair, and a supportive mattress.
Severe stress
Take it easy. Stress makes your body produce adrenaline, which causes an increase in blood pressure, blood glucose, and heart rate. When you are stressed, your body releases hydrocortisone, which suppresses your immune system.
Stress creates a domino effect of problems in the body. It can affect the lower back and can cause insomnia, anxiety, and depression. A chiropractic visit will relieve some tension, but finding stress relief is important to prevent future health problems. |
